... auf dem [Laufenden].... "This earthquake activity in the north appears to be more than just a fun diversion ... the largest in the spate of quakes measured 5.6 on Richter (in the early hours of Sunday morning) and there was another one this morning measuring 4.1. The town of Siglufjörður is the hardest hit, with one resident describing the big quake as "like a transport truck being driven into the side of the house". Window panes broke, stuff fell off shelves, etc. Apparently it's caused by magma pressing up beneath some plates that are moving apart at a depth of 7-8 km. Geologists don't think there's going to be an eruption, though (fingers crossed)". - [The Iceland Weather Report]
